Another study done in the UK on the hormonal effects of parabens illustrated how the subcutaneous administration of butylparabens had a positive estrogenic response on uterine tissue. Imagine how much potential hormonal disruption occurs over a lifetime of just paraben consumption from all the different avenues (lotions, creams, cleansers, toners, shampoo, conditioners, oils, etc.). Another common ingredient is titanium dioxide, a chemical that is contained in many “natural” sunscreens, lotions and shampoos. This metal has been implicated as a potential problem in humans because of its ability to cause DNA damage in healthy human cells, meaning it can be potentially carcinogenic. This has been documented in numerous studies from various agencies around the world.
